I Timothy 6:18-19  Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.  In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

Life

The light gives way to darkness.
The darkness gives way to light.
The sun shines in the morning.
The moon shines at night.
As surely as man wakes in the morning.
He will rest again at the end of the day.
As surely as we were born into the world,
We will one day be taken away.

This life is but as a vapor vanishing over the sea.
This life is nothing compared to what one day will be.
It is fleeting like a snowflake a child wants to hold.
It melts into nothing when compared to eternity we'll one day behold.
Each day is a treasure, a precious gift returning no more.
Fill each day with joy, love, and kindness; always be sure,
When the light gives way to darkness at the end of each day,
You have made the most of the life God granted to you today.
