Swinging With My Momma

If I had a nickel for every smile you gave;
That would sure be a bunch of nickles saved.
If I had a dime for every hug we shared;
Those dimes would speak of your tender care.
If I had a dollar for every loving touch;
Those dollars would remind me, but I still would miss you much.

No amount of treasure I could possess would be worth more.
Nothing this land has to offer from shore to shore -
No, not silver, nor gold, nor jewels, nor any material thing
Could be worth more than to be sitting on your front porch swing.
Nothing could compare to having you there, smiling and free;
To have you there on your front porch swinging with me.

I miss you. Happy Mother's Day in Heaven.
