Micah 7:7 Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. 8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

YES, YOU CAN -

I stood alone facing a raging sea.

I saw no hope of calming the storm before me.

As the waves crashed hard and fast,

I wondered if even one more day I would last.

I stood alone facing a roaring giant.

I saw no way to conquer this one so defiant.

As his powerful fists swung hard and fast,

I knew even one more day I surely would not last.

Today I stood all alone facing a drawn sword.

I saw no way a victory could ever be my reward.

As the shining blade thrust in hard and fast,

I knew through this day I certainly would not last.

As I stood seeing no advancement, only retreat,

As I cowered to the ground to accept my defeat,

As the giant stood on the sea, drawn sword in hand,

I heard a voice simply say, "My child, yes you can."

I lifted my head high and began to look around.

I felt power building within me, strength began to abound.

I found my balance and rose from the ground.

The roaring giant now stood there shaking, not making a sound.

The sea whose waves had been so high and wild,

Now subsided, were peaceful, calm, and mild.

The big shiny blade of the sword that had smote so hard and fast,

Now became rusty, decrepit, it's smiting days now long past.

The giant now began to cry out and plead for mercy from me.

I glanced at him just as he vanished into the calm sea.

I heard the Voice once again; it told me to arise to greater heights

I heard the Voice telling me not to fear a single battle, He will fight my fights.

I fell to my knees and said, "Lord forgive me for thinking I was alone today.

You were there all along ready to guide me and show me the way;

To calm the storm that seemed to be raging all around,

To bring all my giants with drawn swords quickly to the ground."
